The Caucasus Medical Centre (CMC) received the Gold Standard of the highest international healthcare accreditation institution and became the first multi-profile referral hospital in the country to be accredited by the Joint Commission International (JCI).

During the preparation for the process of accreditation, within a span of 18 months, the hospital implemented under 1 200 standards in accordance with the International Patient Safety Goals.
After a multifaceted assessment of the hospital, the JCI (Joint Commission International) accreditation committee concluded, that the hospital functions in full compliance with the highest standards of in-patient, ER and out-patient medical care, infection control and prevention mechanisms, nursing care, a safe medication policy, quality of strategic management and quality culture, competence of medical personnel, provision of safe environment for patients, protection of rights and confidentiality of information of patients and their family members, precision and safety of diagnostic technologies, hospital infrastructure, continuous processes of improvement of medical services.
