Therapy in Modern Medicine

Therapy, as one of the most important directions in modern medicine, encompasses the diagnosis, treatment, and prevention of diseases related to dysfunctions of internal organs and systems. Therapeutic approaches include both medicinal and non-medicinal methods, such as lifestyle changes, physiotherapy, and others. The main goal of this field is to improve the overall health of the patient and alleviate the symptoms of the disease. Therapists are involved in the management of many diseases and are often primary healthcare providers who, when necessary, refer patients to other specialists.

Main Diseases of Therapy

The main diseases of therapy include cardiovascular diseases (e.g., arterial hypertension, heart failure), respiratory system diseases (bronchitis, pneumonia), gastrointestinal tract diseases (gastritis, colitis), endocrine diseases (diabetes, thyroid problems), kidney diseases, and many other conditions. Each of these diseases requires an individual approach and a specific treatment plan based on the patient’s condition and concomitant diseases.
