- 1965-1971 – Leningrad Pediatric Medical Institute (currently St. Petersburg State Medical Pediatric University). Defended candidate and doctoral theses, which were devoted to pediatric vascular surgery.
- 1980 – established a problem laboratory of angiomicrosurgery (gold medals and diplomas of the highest degree at the Union and All-Russian student conferences every year from 1983 to 1998).
- In 1987, on his initiative, a unique pediatric angiomicrosurgery department was opened, where issues of diagnostics and treatment of children who require complex reconstructive interventions are being worked out. The department annually performed 400 surgical operations, provided consulting assistance to more than 700 children.
- 1996 – 2001 – Chief Pediatric Surgeon of St. Petersburg.
- 2004 – 2023 – Chief Pediatric Surgeon of St. Petersburg.
- 2004 – 2023 – Member of the St. Petersburg Commission on Problematic Issues of Cardiovascular Surgery, Member of the City Commission on Pediatric Surgery and Anesthesiology and Resuscitation, President of the St. Petersburg Ambroise Pare Association of Pediatric Angiologists and Vascular Surgeons.
