He is a pioneer and founder of the endovascular neurosurgery direction in Georgia. Annually he performs more than 100 operations related to vascular pathologies of the brain and spinal cord, and more than 400 digital subtraction angiographic studies of the brain and spinal cord.

In 2007 the Ministry of Labor, Health and Social Affairs of Georgia awarded him the title of Best Physician of the Year;
